Great shot! And what a heatwave eh? Lots of record temps being set around here too…lots of forest fires in the province as well.

You could have used this one for antique too! What a clever idea for the theme. Love the composition and processing…..wonderful!

I’d gladly swap you a few days of summer heat for all this rain we are getting and that miserable feeling of damp 😦

I hadn’t realized the NW was having such high temperatures. Must be miserable and dangerous for those without access to air conditioning. Nice shot of the thermometer though. I love all the color variations in rusty shots.

A cool photo of a scorching hot day. We are in the hazy, hot and humid time of year when I love air conditioning so.

Hah! forgot to say I liked your shot. The weathered look of the thermometer and the cedar shakes really anchor the age to days gone by. Nice capture for the theme.

How well I remember in the mid to later 60’s when we lived in Everett. For those of you who do not know where Everett is, it is north of Seattle by about half an hour. It is also where one of the Boeing Plants is situated. The 737 and the other “7’s” were built at this plant. Everett is also the site of a naval yard. (Built after we left the area)
The year I speak of we had 105 (according to the radio and TV station’s reports) in Everett. Even with it that hot, and with the “Seattle side of the State” inclined to be more humid, the weather was still more tolerable than here down south at 95 degrees and very high humid conditions. One thing about WA State temps, they tend to cool off during the evening so at least you can generally sleep without a/c.

Cool thermometer and nice composition!
The temp doesnt say anything to me… I never managed to learn how to convert that in to celsius degrees ;o)

It is about time someone else gets these temps, it’s been in the lower 70’s in good old Omaha, Ne (typically hot and humid this time of year)!

I like the nice, weathered look of this thermometer…too bad you aren’t enjoying the weather that goes along with it!

Love that old thermometer. Great textures in the photo. That is very hot for the Pacific Northwest.
