This eagle and some of his or her buddies have been eyeing a chicken yard near me.  The chickens were inside their house and complaining quite loudly. The owners put whirly things up but this bird looks to have feathers on its beak.

There is the phrase ‘eagle eyed’ but not ‘eagle necked’ I didn’t know they could swivel their head 180 degrees. Must come in handy.  I failed once again to get an eagle in flight….

I found this eagle feather a while ago, it is about 14 inches long.  Eagle feathers are said to have power.  (361 of 365)

Same bald eagle hang out as an earlier shot, I’m always impressed by how bold crows and ravens are around eagles.    This is  zoomed to a 486 mm equivalent     (157 of 365)

This eagle was watching the beach at low tide.  Cropped heavily and handheld with the the max zoom (486 mm  equivalent) I’m surprised that it doesn’t look too bad considering how far that big tree is from the ground and from where I was.     (120 of 365)
