Even though this is a hardy shrubby fuchsia the flowers still hang nicely.

A slug’s eye view of hardy cyclamen.  I love how they unroll and then roll up until the seeds are ripe and unroll again to spread the seeds around.

This Welsh poppy was going to to bloom no matter what was in the way.

I couldn’t decide so here is this yellow azalea,  Rhododendron Luteum.

More fun plant facts; all azaleas are rhododendrons and luteum is latin for yellow.

Just as I thought this orchid was done it made more buds.  Since October it has been an unexpected great deal for  $10.

I like flowers and I like photographing them and  I like that this poppy is popping.  I really like the weather in July better than today’s temps.

Tricyrtis have the coolest polka dots.  A common name for these is toad lily.   (265 of 365)

Gentian blue, these are gentiana asclepiadea or the willow gentian.  I put one next to the monitor and it matches, this looked fake after compressing for the web.   (235 of 365)

These eucomis have a common name of pineapple lily and they sort of look like Sideshow Bob of  the Simpsons too.    (227 of 365)

This cool white spider has been posing on the echinacea for a week or more, hope no one is too flipped out about spiders. Enlarged you can see the interesting markings.   (224 of 365)
