Apologies to any aracnophobes but I think flower spiders, also called crab spiders are so wonderful to see. They don’t make webs, they just hang out in flowers changing color a bit to match like in this late single peony

I think this must be the spider I ran into up here – I was photographing a wild rose and he popped up and scared the crap out of me. Then he kept moving and I couldn’t get a good photo with the shutter speed I had. I’ve never seen these before but I noted the pretty pink shades he had that matched the flower colour…
