I used to like the shops but since I’ve discovered photography, I’m more interested in scouting out the photo ops……and this is a great one!!! Obviously the rain didn’t deter you!

No wonder it’s empty Ellen. I remember the downpours when I was in Kuantan. Nice shot.

The rain emptied the street just for you to get this fantastic shot!!!

I like your interpretation of empty – full of colour and rain and detail but empty of people… it really works to make me feel the wet weather.

Love the composition. I can almost hear the rain drops spattering on the road.

Fun to see the merchants put out some plastic covering over their wares and keep the doors open through the rain.

This is an unusual view of a shopping area, wet and abandoned, but still lush and colorful.

Beautiful!! When my husband was there it was may and beautiful weather so the pictures he has is so packed with people that I couldn’t see the beautiful brick walkway or anything. Thank you for sharing. I love the rain dripping off the awnings. So calming!

Thanks for explaining, I was more mystified than usual by Ron’s comment. That was one amazing video.

Great Eating in Arab Street! Hey Ellen, Julie is telling everyone that you are going to do a base jump from that building in Singapore with the pool. I voted to say I support you but boy are you brave, can’t wait for the shots.

Terrific shot, Ellen. The damp is palpable.
