It’s sad enough to see abandoned houses that provided shelter for families for generations. But seeing a home that never even got to that point seems even sadder still. Great image, Ellen. I like the punch in the processing.

This is lovely Ellen, like your composition and the light is really special.

This reminds me of an old time postcard.

It sure does make one wonder what the rest of the story is as it seems to be such a great spot for a home or getaway spot. Very nicely composed!

Your light is fantastic here, Ellen. It enhances the feeling of a dream or an imagined plan that didn’t come through to the end. Very nice.

If you could just sneak in a few boards a day, you’d have it finished up in no time!

It is interesting. I know a house growing up that some people built and then moved away. About 10 or so years later they returned and the house that sat empty all that time was waiting for them. They now use it as a summer house. I wonder what this story was. Makes for a beautiful but eerie pic.

That is very sad. What a beautiful location!! I love the weathered frame in the trees. Almost looks like it is going right back to it’s natural state.

The unfinished building speaks of a dream undone.

Looks like the dream got put on hold indefinitely.

yes, someone might have had a dream, but some dreams remain unfinished.

That really is sad, and sure raises questions about the story behind it. As Steven said though, it’s a very interesting photo.

This is really neat. I’m sorry the dream wasn’t fulfilled, but it is a curiosity that makes for a compelling image. The lighting is really nice and I like how you have this framed between the trees.

It really does seem so well put together for a disolved dream!

One is used to seeing a deteriorating building out in a field–but not one that was barely built. This is quite unique. It looks like the framework of a dream.
