Very near my Mom’s house in Chicagoland is this preserved prairie. It was too wet to plow for corn and escaped development until the 1920′s when sidewalks were laid. Then the Depression came. It is about 15 miles from the city. Here’s a bit about it.

That is such a cool place. It’s nice that you can go there and find peace. It seems to me that you follow the path and you can rejuvenate after the city life.

How I would love to go there! This is just gorgeous and it sounds like it gets even better….I love looking down this path through the flowers into the trees…it almost feels like I am there!
