This angelica gigas is especially cool up very close but the hornets love it and seem to want to defend it. I’m allergic so this is as close as I’m getting. (222 of 365)

My twin has a garden that anyone would covet. She has some of these plants, and shared some seed with me. (Nothing came up….) Anyway back to the plants, they have huge leaves, she said, but when the fall/winter comes, she takes the leaves off and then there is an amazing structure that remains throughout the winter with those huge dried flower heads. I took hundreds of photos of her garden in the fall….beautiful in its own way.

The hornets have been really bad this year -just got my hornet pics yesterday, I’ll post them sometime! These are just stunning, love the vivid color and the shapes wow!!
